The Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with an exciting events programme including this family event taking place this weekend.
This heritage railway offers a fantastic day out with lots of special events throughout the year including:
See Gruffalo and Stick Man – 6 & 7 August 2022
On Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 August, Gruffalo and Stick Man will be appearing at Groombridge station at intervals on each day. Take a steam train ride from Tunbridge Wells West travelling to Groombridge where you can alight to see Gruffalo and Stick Man as the steam locomotive runs around its train to take everyone back to Tunbridge Wells West Station. Train Fares: Adult – £13, Senior (60+) – £12, Child (2-15yrs) – £6, Family (2A+2C) – £32. Trains will depart Tunbridge Wells West at 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, 15:00 & 16:30, returning 1 hour later. Each train will spend 30 minutes at Groombridge so plenty of time to take a picture or two!
In addition, there will be another family event in the summer holidays Jolly Roger’s Swashbuckling’ Train Ride on the following days: Thursdays 4, 11, 18 & 25 August & 1 September 2022.
