The next member event at Hole Park is the History of Hole Park on Saturday 25th May 10:30am. Back by popular request, Edward Barham, owner of Hole Park, will lead a tour of the gardens and explain the history of the house and gardens, often using records and artefacts from the estates archives. Bee Conservation Experience
Join us for a hands-on workshop the entire family will enjoy, back by popular demand! In partnership with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust we are inviting you to participate in this special experience in our beautiful gardens in the heart of the Weald of Kent on Thursday 30th May 2024.
Learn more about the types of bees that are found in our home county, how to identify the different species that will already be resident in your garden and get tips about which flowers and plants you can grow at home to encourage the bees.
In our quest to make you conservation heroes there will be fun activities to help you discover fascinating facts to help “save the bees” plus children will get the change to create a “bee bomb” to take home! Our expert partners will take you on a tour of the gardens here at Hole Park to see the many species we are home to – including some of the most endangered bees!
Our morning workshop begins at 10:30 and is designed for families, with activities for children.

Plant Fairs Roadshow
Our Plant Fair is organised by a small team of enthusiastic growers, dedicated to promoting reliable and unusual plants to keen gardeners. We have brought together a wide range of small nurseries from the area to create a number of memorable gardening events.

Gates open from 11am to 4pm and the Coach House Tea Room will also be open serving homemade lunches and cakes.

The Plant Fairs Roadshow (PFR) is made up of a diverse collective of over 40 nurseries from across the south of England keen to promote British growers, and highlight the amazing plants grown independently by specialist nursery men and women.
Members include multi medal-winning nurseries with RHS Flower Show pedigree. In fact this year, 8 members of the Plant Fairs Roadshow exhibited together as a collective, in the famous floral marquee at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Working as a cooperative, supporting each other and adding value to their combined businesses has meant that the PFR has grown in scope and size since its inception ten years ago. It has also afforded the more mature specimens in the group to nurture the younger members of the cooperative.
