Dogs Welcome at Hole Park Gardens in Kent. The gardens will reopen to visitors on 1 April 2023
“Allowing dogs into our gardens has proved very popular and we have received some great feedback from visitors”, said owner Edward Barham.
“The pathways around the gardens and woodland make for a perfect dog walk, with plenty to explore throughout the seasons.”
This award-winning Kent garden have been owned and looked after by the Barham family for the past four generations.

Some of the annual garden highlights at Hole park include the Bluebell Festival in mid-April. Don’t miss the Standard Wisteria in the Vineyard Garden during May and also at this time of year the Rhododendrons and Azaleas in the woodlands area.
The recently renovated long herbaceous border has been replanted in the original pink and blue and yellow and white originally used by the late Christopher Lloyd when he first designed the border at Hole Park.
There is a dedicated tea room and free parking for cars and coaches. Dogs are allowed in the courtyard by the Coach House on leads but not allowed in the Rolls Room or Coach House. Water is also available for dogs in the outdoor seating area next to the Coach House. Guide dogs are welcome in all areas.

The gardens are open daily from 11am to 6pm every day until 8 June and then Wednesdays and Thursdays from mid-June until end of October. The Gardens also open on Sundays in October.
Admission in advance: Adults £10 (£11 on the gate), Children (5 to 16) £2.50. Wheelchairs may be reserved free of charge and there are full disability WC facilities.

Please note that dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times and bins are provided for owners to use when clearing up after their dogs.

Spring garden highlights
Swathes of crocus, narcissus, primroses, blue scillas and daffodils can be seen across the 16-acre gardens and 10- acre woodland in early April. Visitors can also walk through the pretty Camelia Walk and admire the shade-loving hellebores and early flowering cherry and magnolia trees.
Later in April visitors can marvel at the amazing display of bluebells which can be enjoyed via the circular woodland walk taking you past the solar powered renovated ice house and through the garlic walk.
In May the gardens are full of tulips, roses and clematis and the vineyard garden has impressive standard wisterias to admire. Rhododendrons and azaleas flower throughout the gardens and the meadows are as delight.
Summer garden highlights
In summer visitors can see scented roses and colourful herbaceous borders. In late summer see the unique late flowering Hole Park Blue Agapanthus and the exotic border with its vivid colours and exotic blooms.
Autumn garden highlights
Agapanthus continue to flower into autumn together with the exotic border. The maples and oaks provide stunning autumn colour during October when the gardens also open for ‘Autumn Sundays’.
