Say ‘baa-bye’ to Shaun the Sheep in Maidstone at the Farewell Weekend

It’s time to say a final goodbye to the Shaun Flock at the Farewell Weekend which will see over 100 colourful Shaun the Sheep sculptures go on display for one final time at Maidstone Market Hall, Lockmeadow, Maidstone ME16 8LW from 13 to 15 September 2024.

Organised by Heart of Kent Hospice, this event will be the only opportunity to see all the stunning ‘Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent’ sculptures, which have been part of a wonderful free art trail across Maidstone this summer, in one place.  This will also be the last time to buy trail merchandise, take selfies and collect any missing app codes from the sculptures not already collected.

The Farewell Weekend will take place over three days and anyone interested in coming along should book soon to avoid disappointment.  Sessions are now available to book on each day of the three days at 9.30am 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm.

With limited numbers, the first hour of each day of the Farewell Weekend event will be a dedicated quiet hour providing a quiet calm environment, open to everyone that would prefer reduced sensory stimulation.

A raffle to win your own Shaun has been taking place since the launch of the Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent Art Trail and the raffle will close at midnight on Sunday 15 September with a live draw taking place at the Auction event.

After the Farewell Weekend most of the little Shauns will be permanently returned to the schools and groups that painted them and the remainder will be sold alongside the 51 large Shaun the Sheep Sculptures in aid of the Hospice.

The Farewell weekend is sponsored by One Maidstone Events Partner.

Tickets for the Farewell Weekend are £4 adult (16+) and £2 child (4-15). Children (0-3) go free but still need to have a ticket. A family ticket can be bought for £10. Group tickets can be purchased for groups of 10+.
