Jolly Roger’s Swashbuckling’ Train Ride this Summer on the Spa Valley Railway

Take the Family on a Steam Train this summer in the heart of Tunbridge Wells and take part in the Jolly Roger experience which takes place at Spa Valley Railway on Thursday 29th August 2024

Everyone will have a swashbucklin’ good time with Jolly Roger as he tries to find the lost treasure.

All trains depart from Tunbridge Wells West Station and performances are by the amazing Radtastic Theatre team.

The fun begins at Tunbridge Wells West Station when the loveable pirate, Jolly Roger warns every one of the dastardly treasure thief, Captain Crook.

Roger’s ship is wrecked and he needs a new crew – so who will help? Once he’s trained up his new recruits, everyone will board the steam train to go looking for the treasure. Along the way, Jolly Roger will hand out activity packs and colouring pencils to all his crew.

Upon arrival at Eridge station, everybody will make their way on to the platform to seek out the lost treasure. Who will find it first – Jolly Roger and his crew or Captain Crook?

Once the treasure has been found, everyone will climb back on board the train to journey back to Tunbridge Wells.  Jolly Roger handing out rewards to all his crew along the way.

Jolly Roger’s Swashbuckling’ Train Ride Train Ride:

Jolly Roger’s adventures start at 09:45, 12:30 or 15:10.  The train will then depart from Tunbridge Wells West station at 10:15, 12:55 or 15:35 on Thursday’s 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th August, returning 1hr later and you can book online now, scroll down to the bottom of the page to book!

Please note that the 15:10 experience does not take place on Thursday 10th or Thursday 24th August.

Adult – £15, Senior – £14, Child (2-15yrs) – £8, Family (2A+2C) – £38

Space is available on board the trains for others that would just like a train ride through the glorious High Weald, all trains run to our Green timetable over the weekend. Prices for train travel without the Jolly Roger’s Swashbuckling’ Train Ride experience are the same as our standard fares, £15 per adult, £14 per senior, £7.50 per child and £38 per family of 2 adults & 2 children.
