BEEcome a Conservation Hero at Hole Park Gardens in Rolvenden this Summer
A bee conservation family workshops is planned for the summer at Hole Park Gardens in Rolvenden, Kent. Booking is now open for the workshop which will take place on Thursday 27 July 2023.
The workshops are all about helping us to understand about the best way to help save our bees! Saving our bees is after all helping to save our planet!
Owner of Hole Park Gardens Edward Barham said: “We hope people will come along to Hole Park to become conservation heroes with us. The event is in partnership with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust who have been at Hole Park this year carrying out a bee survey.
“Our expert partners will also take you on a tour of the gardens to see the many species we are home to – including some of the most endangered bees!”
This event is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the types of bees that are found in our home county and will help us to identify the different species that will already be resident in your own garden. Get top tips about which flowers and plants you can grow at home to encourage the bees.
The hands-on family workshop is something the entire family can enjoy with plenty of fun activities designed to help discover some fascinating facts to help “save the bees” plus children will get the chance to create a “bee bomb” to take home!
The first workshop and guided tour which is intended for family groups will start at 11:15 (arrival 11am).
The second workshop which will have content targeted at adults will start at 1:45pm (arrival 1:30pm).
The cost of this event including entry into the gardens is £12 for adults and £2.50 for children aged 5 to 17. Tickets to participate in the Bee workshops must be prebooked online as spaces are limited.
