Walking is a wonderful way to appreciate the High Weald AONB countryside at a slower pace, taking time to admire the wild flowers and wildlife in the hedgerows and grass verges.

Walking at Finchcocks Finchcocks is surrounded by lovely walks, with footpaths and bridal paths running through the woods, the fields and some of the hop-gardens. Scotney Castle is only a mile’s walk away, running along the beautiful valley of the Teise riverlet.
Walking at Bedgebury Bedgebury offers new all-ability, all-weather, surfaced walking routes from the Visitor Centre into the National Pinetum and the Forest. These are aimed at promoting healthy living and will include challenging health walks and calorie mapped trails and a state-of-the art Adventure Play Area, themed around the great Victorian plant-hunters.

Walking at Bewl Water The picturesque 13 mile (4 - 5 hour) round reservoir route is open to walkers all year round. Pick up a route map from the Visitor Centre.
