Bewl Water, the South East’s largest man-made water, has a picturesque 13 mile (4 - 5 hour) round reservoir route which is open to walkers all year round and to cyclists and riders from May to October. Cycles to suit all ages are available during the summer from Bewl Bike Hire, in the car park, and groups are welcome.

Bedgebury now has a 10km all-ability family cycle route and 13km of mountain bike trails. This includes a long singletrack cross-country loop combining existing and new paths and a dedicated Freeride area, incorporating built structures and obstacles designed to challenge a rider's ability and technical skills. Few places in the South East can offer cyclists and mountain bikers the range of riding experiences that Bedgebury now provides.

The new Visitor Centre features a cycle franchise for the sale, hire and repair of bikes, plus shower facilities (also for the disabled) and a bike wash.

Bedgebury's new cycling facilities have been designed to evolve in order to meet the needs of local riders, providing a unique community resource in the area. Cyclists who are keen to be involved in the evolution of cycling at Bedgebury can now join the Bedgebury Cycle Club (more details on 01580 211044).
